Text and trust

Bible Text & Sources

VerseMark is designed around legally available Bible text and careful handling of private reading data.

Bible Text Rights

VerseMark only loads Bible text when we have a clear public-domain, open, licensed, or otherwise permitted path for app distribution. Additional translations and languages will be added only after the usage rights are reviewed.

Current English Text

The current English Bible text is loaded into the VerseMark database as legally available Bible text for the app experience. The regular VerseMark Bible app uses the 66-book Bible canon. VerseMark Catholic Bible uses the 73-book Catholic canon.

Catholic Readings

VerseMark Catholic Bible uses liturgical reading references to show passages from the app's Bible text. The app is not an official app of the Vatican, USCCB, any diocese, parish, or Catholic ministry.

Private Reading Data

Reading progress, favorites, and notes are private to your account unless you choose to share a passage or post in Community. If you sign in, VerseMark can sync supported reading data across your devices.

Translation Questions

If you have a question about a translation, missing text, or Bible source, email support@versemarkbible.com.
